Auto-Responders
Go Back
Introduction:
If you are responding to the same type of email on a
daily basis or if you would like to add an automatic response to emails
sent to a specific domain address, you can accomplish such tasks using the
"auto-responder" feature.
Example:
Let's say you wanted to send information about your
services to anyone that sends email to, info@your_domain. The auto-responder
will automatically send a response to these incoming emails. If the
recipient wishes to reply to an auto-response, his/her email will be
forwarded to another address specified by you.
Remember
each email address can only be
either a POP account, a forwarder or an auto-responder. An
email address that is specified as an auto-responder, CANNOT also be an
email forwarder or a POP account.
How
to Use Auto-Responders
Autoresponder can be setup from within your
Account
Control Panel, under "Email Setup"
You will need to prepare the following information prior to invoking the
autoresponder:

with the email message you want (ie: /htdocs/test.txt) which the
autoresponder will send out upon request. (This path should be
relative to your home directory)

for the address info@yourdomain.com, is "info")

-
The subject of the autoresponder email
