Technical Guides:

SoftCart User's Guide
For all users, this guide covers procedures for generating and maintaining an online store using SoftCart Pro, SoftCart Lite and SoftCart Suite. This guide also describes procedures for managing online order data and creating reports for online sales.

SoftCart Technical Reference Guide
For advanced users, this guide covers advanced SoftCart configuration topics such as the integration of third-party databases, customizing order and e-mail template files, and Web server security.

SoftCart Update Guide (for SoftCart 5.1 only)
The Update Guide is separated into two main parts:

  • The Update to the Technical Reference Guide chapters are targeted for those who are proficient in downloading and uploading files, as well as manipulating ASCII files in text editors. These chapters describe how to modify your store's components to support specific 5.1 features, such as enabling Value Added Tax (VAT), multiple store logos, category page text, and enter action codes.

  • The Update to the User's Guide describes how to configure specific SoftCart 5.1 features through Store Manager after the store components have been enabled.

QuickBook (QB) Link Module User's Guide (for versions 5.0 - 5.1.4)
For QBLink add-on and SoftCart Suite users, this guide describes procedures for formatting online order data for use in an Intuit QuickBooks or QuickBooks Pro accounting system. For more information about QuickBooks, visit the Intuit Web site to obtain QuickBooks documentation and support information.

NOTE SoftCart 5.1.5 users: All QBLink documentation is available through online help. There is no online guide for 5.1.5.

SoftCart Drop-Ship Module User's Guide
For Drop-Ship add-on and SoftCart Suite users, this guide describes procedures for configuring drop-ship vendors and automatically notifying manufacturers and fulfillment vendors of any orders that they must ship directly to the customers.

SoftCart Template Guide for Web Designers
For advanced HTML users and Web designers, this guide describes procedures for customizing SoftCart store template sets to give SoftCart stores a unique look. Also includes instructions to commerce-enable an existing Web site.

CyberCash Integration Module User's Guide
For CyberCash Integration Module users, including some SoftCart Suite users, this manual covers the procedures for configuring Mercantec's CyberCash Integration Module, which integrates CyberCash's CashRegister payment system into a SoftCart installation. For additional information about managing transactions through CashRegister, visit the CyberCash Web site to obtain CashRegister documentation and support information.

Merchant Reports and Tools Guide for Merchant Payment Center
For Merchant Payment Center users, including some SoftCart Suite users, this guide describes procedures for managing the status of credit card transactions, initiating settlement and creating transaction reports through the merchant's payment gateway account, which is maintained by ClearCommerce Corporation. The Merchant Reports and Tools guide is provided by the ClearCommerce Corporation as an aid for Merchant Payment Center users. Mercantec does not assume responsibility for the content of this guide.
